Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

If you like peanut butter, you are sure to enjoy this cake.  A simple recipe that makes a big cake to serve a crowd.

Whisk the following together in a large bowl and set aside:


  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Whisk the following together in a small bowl and set aside:

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine the following in a saucepan and bring to a boil:

  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup butter

Pour the peanut butter mixture over the flour mixture and combine well.  Pour the egg/buttermilk mixture over the other ingredients and mix well.  Pour this mixture into a parchment lined jelly roll pan and bake in a preheated 375° oven for 15 minutes.  Frost with peanut butter frosting while still warm.
